How I use Slack

I use Slack for day‑to‑day communication during ongoing collaboration - where e‑mail would be needlessly slow.

Last updated: August 2026

How it works

With monthly collaboration it is faster to drop a short question into a channel than to write a formal e‑mail and wait a day for an answer.

If you have your own Slack, I can join as an external guest via Slack Connect. You do not need to create an account for me or pay for a licence.

What stays in e‑mail

Anything that needs a written record - scope of work, quotes, confirmations of what was agreed, and invoices.

Slack is for day‑to‑day operations, not for agreements. Those belong where both sides can still find them a year later.
