How I use Fireflies
Every meeting can be run with Fireflies - so that we end up with the best possible notes, not just a good and useful conversation.
During our consultations I use Fireflies to record and transcribe what we discuss. After the meeting I go through the record and send you a summary with concrete next steps.
I only start recording once you have expressly agreed in advance. I ask for your consent by e-mail before the meeting and again at the start of the call. Until I have it, no recording or transcript is created - the meeting runs exactly as normal, I simply take notes by hand.
You can withdraw your consent at any time, including during the call. I will stop the recording immediately and, on request, delete what has been recorded so far.
If your colleagues join the call, I need consent from each participant separately.
What is processed: the audio of the call, an automatic transcript and an AI summary. The purpose is to prepare notes and recommendations for you.
Where it is stored: on the servers of Fireflies AI Corp. (USA). The transfer is covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or, where applicable, Standard Contractual Clauses, and I have a data processing agreement with the provider under Art. 28 GDPR.
For how long: the recording and transcript are kept for the duration of our collaboration and for a maximum of 3 months afterwards, then deleted. If you would like them deleted sooner, just let me know. The summary itself is kept for the duration of our collaboration.
Who has access: only me. The recording is not shared with third parties and is not used to train AI models.
Your rights: you can ask for access to the recording, its deletion, or a copy of the summary at any time. Just write to martin.janco@pm.me.
